It's absolutely beautiful, though. Erebus is more gloom than night, so I also think it's a gorgeous representation of something very Nyx-ish.

its actually "nether darkness" or something along those lines. The character's look is going to be night themed, but his actual personality is better suited to darkness. I have a race of creatures called soul eaters (I know not real original a name haha) that gain horns over time based on the number of souls they devour. One of their most distinguishing traits are their painfully thin waists...protruding rib cages etc...sort of a visual representation that no matter how many souls they devour they wont be full because they dont have one of their own.

There are three kinds of soul eaters. Those that devour by sipping at the soul through acts of intimacy (like kisses or gentle touches etc....). They drain the soul a little at a time and can often feed from the same source for as long as two or three months. The second type is the kind that sucks it all out at once leaving a shell of what they used to be. Think the podlings in dark crystal after their essence has been drank. And the third kind are the flesh eating kind that literally devour their prey bones and all to eat their soul.

Erebus was the flesh eating kind. But if a soul eater gains a soul they become what is called an emotion eater (name pending). The only way for a soul eater to gain a soul is for another to love them. Its a VERY rare case especially the flesh eating kind. Erebus was one of only 3 flesh eating soul eaters in existence to undergo the metomorphosis into an emotion eater.

Emotion eaters are no longer the sickly thin creatures that soul eaters are. They are instead creatures of beauty, sprouting feathers from every horn gained from the devouring of souls. They retain an original initial three on their forhead that all soul eaters are born with. Those never go away. Emotion feed on positive emotion however in the case of a newly turned emotion eater old instincts dont simply fade away. So he's currently struggling between his need to bring positive emotion to feed, and his pre-existing instinct to thrash and devour.
