anyone near Ridge Meadows in BC? WE NEED HELP

I have a friend looking for just...individual courses or get togethers and the like to help her brush up her skills and build a portfolio. I realize in theory we can learn art through self study but the same people who say that value the time they spend in schools...because we all know how much direction can help.

So if anyone has any suggestions for a post hs person looking for just get togethers, art jams, life drawing groups etc... could you please let me know?
